Wicket Wave — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the use of the Wicket Wave cricket scoring, tournament management, venue booking, live streaming, and sports academy application (available for Android, iOS, macOS, and Desktop) developed by Dancing Labs.

1. Information Collection & Use

Wicket Wave is architected as an offline-first sports utility. Match scoring, ball-by-ball events, player statistics, and wagon wheel plots are stored locally on your device.

When using social authentication, cloud synchronization, digital athlete passports, venue booking, or live match broadcast features, the application collects:

  • Social Authentication Identity: User display name, profile avatar, and verified email address collected via platform-native Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. We enforce social login only and do not collect phone numbers or SMS OTP passwords for authentication.
  • Athlete Profiles & Cricket Skill Matrix: Batting hand/stance (RHB/LHB), bowling style variations, player roles (All-Rounder/Batter/Bowler/Keeper), jersey number, and verified Digital Sports Passport IDs.
  • Training & Academy Records: Batch enrollments, session attendance counts, and student progress cards with skill assessment scores and coach feedback.
  • Venue & Match Metadata: Match summaries, overs, ball-by-ball timeline, team rosters, and turf/court slot reservation schedules.
  • Location Data & Maps (Optional): Device GPS coordinates and address details used strictly on-device to locate nearest sports arenas, calculate distance to cricket grounds, pin venue locations, and provide directions via Google Maps or platform navigation apps. Location data is processed ephemerally with user consent, is never tracked in the background, and is never sold to third parties.
  • Camera & Live Streaming (Optional): Camera permission is requested solely when the user chooses to capture profile photos, scan QR codes, export visual scorecards, or broadcast live cricket matches using our in-app Live Stream Studio. Camera feeds and video frames are processed in real time for broadcast encoding or local capture and are never accessed secretly in the background.

2. App Permissions & Hardware Access

Wicket Wave requests the following device permissions only when explicitly activated by user features:

  • Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used for capturing player avatars, team crests, QR code athlete passport scanning, and streaming live match video overlay broadcasts.
  • Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Used to discover local turf courts, sports academies, and pin precise GPS coordinates for venue listings.
  • Storage / Media Access: Used solely for saving exported match scorecard infographics, PDF tournament brackets, and local database backup files.

3. Bank Account Details & Payment Security

Wicket Wave provides integrated court booking and training batch fee management for venue owners and academy coaches.

  • Bank Account Numbers & IFSC Codes: Bank details provided by venue owners and trainers for daily payout splits are protected using AES-256 GCM cryptographic encryption at rest with device hardware KeyStore/Keychain security. Decrypted data is never exposed in logs or plain text.
  • PCI-DSS Compliant Payment Gateways: Wicket Wave integrates with certified, RBI-regulated payment partners (Razorpay Route, Google Play In-App Billing, Apple In-App Purchase). We never store sensitive credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, net-banking passwords, or UPI PINs on our servers.
  • Itemized Ledger & Invoices: Digital receipts transparently display nominal platform convenience fees (e.g. ₹0.10 platform fee) with verified GST breakdown.

4. Guardian Contacts & Student Safety

Academy trainers can record guardian phone numbers and emergency contacts for enrolled youth students. These contacts are utilized strictly for 1-touch emergency phone dialing (`tel:`) during injuries or direct WhatsApp announcement broadcasts. Guardian contact information is never used for unsolicited advertising.

5. Advertising & Third-Party SDKs

Wicket Wave utilizes Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display non-intrusive banner advertisements during match over breaks. AdMob may collect pseudonymous device identifiers in compliance with Google Play and Apple App Tracking Transparency policies. Test ad units are strictly enforced in debug builds to prevent invalid traffic.

6. Data Security & Storage Isolation

We enforce strict user-scoped and tenant-isolated local SQLite storage. Match history and rosters are partitioned by user identity to prevent cross-contamination on shared devices. All network communications utilize TLS 1.3 encryption.

7. Account Deletion & Data Retention (GDPR & App Store Compliance)

Wicket Wave users have full self-service control to delete their account and personal data at any time.

How to Delete Your Account:

  • In-App One-Tap Deletion: Navigate to Home ➔ Settings ➔ Delete Account. Confirming will immediately trigger personal PII erasure.
  • Email Request: Send an email to admin@dancinglabs.in with the subject Wicket Wave - Account Deletion Request from your registered email.

What Happens Upon Account Deletion:

  1. Personal PII Purged: Your user profile, authentication tokens, email address, saved banking credentials, and notification subscriptions are permanently deleted within 7 business days.
  2. Club Memberships Terminated: The user is removed from all active squads, rosters, and upcoming tournament fixtures.
  3. Scorecard Immutability for Public Sporting Records: Historic cricket match scorecards (runs, wickets, tournament brackets, and points tables) are permanent sporting records. The player's historical match stats remain preserved in past fixtures tagged as [ Former Player / Inactive ] to maintain mathematical integrity and prevent Net Run Rate (NRR) corruption.
